He was 24, and died September 8, 2005, nearly a month after sustaining burns over 90% of his body.
Clint was a natural athlete who loved playing handball and had just won the Colorado state championship in the A division in both singles and doubles this past April. He was a Hall of Fame, all-state defensive end for Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton, Colorado. He later played for a year at the University of Northern Colorado. While he was a student at UNC, he played at the National Collegiate Handball Tournament in February of 2003.
He and his brother Cody, won two state championships in doubles also. Most recently he played doubles with his father Dennis who began teaching him and his brother to play handball at an early age.
Years of practice allowed Clint to show two strong hands on the court. Clint broke many a handball with his strong blasts down the left wall. Clint, Cody, and Dennis enjoyed many memorable times together playing handball.
Clint graduated with a marketing and computer information degree in December of 2003 and began working at Bandimere Speedway in marketing and sponsor development. Clint loved the world of drag racing and was a very successful driver. Racing was truly his passion.
Clint will be missed for many reasons, but he was always respectful of fellow handball players, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his father Dennis, his mother Debbra, his younger brother Cody, and his long time girlfriend Kimberlee Giffen.
